A perfectly fitting ring should slip on quite smoothly but need to be tugged off. When it’s on, it should not be loose enough to turn on its own, only if you twist it with your fingers.
Measure your fingers when your hands are warm ideally at the end of the day when they are at their fullest, but not when you’ve been drinking alcohol or coffee, or eating salty food, because these will swell your blood vessels. If you’ve been out in the cold, let your hands warm up fully before measuring.
Because fingers are generally proportional to body size, people who are petite, medium and bigger will have comparable hand and finger sizes.
You can take a ring they already wear and slip it onto one of your fingers. Get a pen and mark a line at the furthest you can push it. Then, measure this with a strip of paper or string and compare it to the chart above, or use our accurate ring sizer – contact us for one.
